In frames of the B2B fair of social enterprises 2022, a master class was organized for representatives of the corporate sector: "How to act for impact? International practice and modern trends."
The master class was conducted by Luciano Balbo, experienced professional in private equity in Italy and the founder of Oltre Venture, a management company of impact investing funds in italy.
The purpose of the event was to inform business sector representatives about impact investing practices and trends in Europe and Georgia.
Executive Director of CSRDG Eka Urushadze welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of engaging the business sector in the development of impact investments and the importance of cooperation in overcoming societal and environmental challenges in Georgia.
The manager of the first Impact Fund in Georgia Actio Kristine Kandelaki introduced the fund to the guests and highlighted the impact investing opportunities that Aktio offers to investors and social entrepreneurs.
More than 40 participants from different business companies attended the event. The participants later joined the B2B fair of social enterprises.
The masterclass was organized within the project “Collaborate for Impact - development of social entrepreneurship and social investments towards economic and social cohesion in the Eastern Partnership”, supported by the European Commission and implemented by the Center for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG) in Georgia. The leading implementing organization of the project is the European Venture Philanthropy Association-EVPA.
